Hey Honey, I am Mahlia Mack.

I am a family & lifestyle photographer, story teller and creative woman based in The South West of Western Australia. I grew up in a small coastal town, with our family home just a few hundred metres from the beach, on the North West Coast of Tasmania.

I moved to Perth with my family during the peak of WA's mining boom when I was 15 years old and I instantly swooned over Perths balmy weather, picturesque coastline and laid-back lifestyle.

In between raising my wildlings, and working at the local council, I had been talking about pursuing birth and family photography for a solid 12 months, fantasising and divulging those aspirations with my husband- "How incredible it would be to be self-employed and creating art for a living?" I would spiel.

One day I came home and my gorgeous, thoughtful husband surprised me with my first professional-grade camera. He looked me dead in the eye and said "I believe in you honey, you got this! If anyone can do it, it's you."

The rest is history. I continued to work in local government whilst I mastered my camera, in hopes that I could become a 'legitimate' photographer.

I poured hours upon hours in to free photoshoots for friends, families and even strangers. I sat awake late at night once the kids had gone down, watching YouTube tutorials and taking online masterclasses run by some incredible photographers from all around the world.

I eventually decided to attend night-school in the city and commenced a TAFE course in photography which ignited my passion and refined my creative skills even further, which brings me to the present time.

I'm now working solely as a professional family photographer and loving every moment of it! It's about as cliche as it gets, and almost cringey (okay, alot cringey) but this isn't just a job for me; this is my ultimate creative career, my purpose, and my path.

I am absolutely honoured, and inspired to tell the stories of every day families, through the art and imagery I create with my camera.

When you invest in me, you're investing in MY story, you're investing in my family, my children, and my legacy. Much the same as I am investing in yours when I create everlasting memories for you and yours.
